The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume has rallied Secretaries to State Governments (SSGs) in a crucial meeting aimed at improving policy execution nationwide.
The gathering, which was held in Abuja on Thursday, 29 August marked the first meeting of the Forum of SGF and SSGs for the year.
The forum, themed: “Improving Policy Coordination and Implementation for Sustainable National Development: The Role of Secretaries to State Governments,” was designed to equip SSGs with the knowledge and tools necessary to assist their governor’s ineffective governance.
Addressing the assembly, Akume emphasized the critical role of SSGs in translating national policies into tangible action at the state level. “As Secretaries to State Governments, you bear the immense responsibility of tailoring these policies to the unique needs of your respective states,” Akume said.
