The government of Saudi Arabia has begun an initiative to host four international television stations with the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat) on its NigComSat-1R satellite.
The initiative would mark a significant step towards enhancing media diversity and accessibility in Nigeria, paving the way for more international collaborations in the telecommunications sector.
Saudi Arabia officials from the Embassy visited NigComSat to conclude the arrangement after an inspection of its facilities.
The visit to NigComSat Ground Control Station was led by the Head of the Saudi Arabia Embassy’s media team, Mohammed Alsahabi, while NigComSat Executive Director of Technical Services, Abiodun Attah, stood in for NigComSat’s Managing Director, Mrs Jane Egerton-Idehen.
NigComSat said discussions had reached an advanced stage regarding the collaboration between the Saudi Arabia authorities and NigComSat.
