The National Space Research and Development Agency (NARSDA) is set to partner with the Defence Space Administration (DSA) for the advancement of innovative solutions for national development.
During a visit on Thursday to the DSA Headquarters in Abuja, NASRDA Director General Dr. Matthew Adepoju expressed the agency’s commitment to working closely with various stakeholders within Nigeria’s space ecosystem.

Adepoju emphasised the essential role that space technology plays in modern society.
Chief of the Defence Space Administration, Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Oluwatoyin, praised the ongoing support from NASRDA.
He remarked on the importance of fostering strong working relationships between the two agencies to leverage space technology for the benefit of all Nigerians.
“We need to encourage strong working relationships to maximize the benefits of space technology for the benefits of Nigerians,” he stated.
The collaboration comes as both agencies gear up to celebrate Nigeria’s 25 years in space, an event that will also involve key players in the space sector, including NIGCOMSAT Limited.
He added “With this partnership, NASRDA and DSA aim to not only enhance Nigeria’s standing in the global space community but also to utilize space technology to address local challenges, ultimately contributing to the nation’s development agenda.”
