The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has opened its 2024 recruitment portal, inviting applications for tax officer positions in selected Nigerian states.

Position grade levels and locations
- Positions: Officer I and Officer II in Tax Administration
- Locations: The recruitment is open in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo. Candidates may select one preferred location during the application process.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the 2024 FIRS recruitment:
- Age Limit: Applicants should be 27 or younger as of December 31, 2024.
- NYSC Completion: Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program by December 31, 2021, is mandatory.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants are required to hold either a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least First Class or Second Class Upper Division. Acceptable fields include:
- Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Law, Management, Mathematics, and Visual Arts.
Additional qualifications, such as relevant master’s degrees or professional memberships (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, COREN, NSE), are advantageous.
