The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited says it has reached its gas production goal of 7.4 billion standard cubic feet per day (bscfd) ahead of the year-end target, with over 60% of this production now commercialized.
Also, NNPCL has disclosed it achieved 1.8 million barrels per day of crude oil production, following continuous dislodgement of pipeline vandals and crude oil thieves.
The company said the milestones highlighted its dedication to bolstering Nigeria’s gas sector, advancing energy availability, and supporting economic growth through increased domestic supply and export potential.
Lawal Musa, Chief Production War Room Officer of NNPC, made the revelations today in Abuja during a briefing.
Musa said that the achievements were based on the collaboration between the leadership of NNPC, stakeholders and security agencies.
“We achieved this because of the clear mandate by President Bola Tinubu to ramp up crude oil production in the country,” Musa said.
Musa is also the Senior Business Advisor to Malam Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer, GCEO, NNPC.
