Bayo Onanuga, spokesman of Tinubu presidential campaign council, says the campaign will be based on the positives of the Buhari administration.
The presidential campaigns officially began on September 28.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Onanuga said there are positives in the Buhari administration, even though there are a few challenges.
He said the Tinubu administration will work at addressing those challenges.
”We believe that the positives will rub on our candidate and we are going to campaign based on the positives of this government and we are going to admit that even though there are challenges, the incoming administration will address them,” he said.
”People should not forget that in 2015, there was a major security challenge in the northeastern part of the country, Adamawa, Yobe and Borno. Boko Haram occupied territories but that’s no longer the case.
”The United Nations Secretary-General came to Nigeria and he commended what he saw in the northeast. Maiduguri was a no-go area but he saw a different city.
”This is a sign of positive movement under this government.”
Tinubu’s campaign had been accused of basing its campaign on the APC presidential candidate’s achievements when he was governor of Lagos state.
