The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the schedule of activities for the governorship elections in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo states.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, INEC said the governorship elections for the three states will take place on November 11, 2023.
“The tenure of the incumbent Governor of Imo State ends on 14th Jan 2024, while those of Kogi and Bayelsa States end on 26th Jan 2024 and 13th Feb 2024 respectively,” it said.
“Accordingly, the Commission has decided to conduct the three elections on Saturday 11th November 2023.”
The governorship elections in the three states will be happening months after the general election scheduled for February 2023.
