MTN Foundation says the institution has granted scholarships across categories to 13,717 Nigerians in the past 13 years.
The foundation’s director, Mrs. Aishatu Sadauki, announced that the beneficiaries cut across the 36 federation states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
She said the foundation perceived the provision of scholarships for students as its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and to build trust with Nigerian communities.
Mrs. Sadauki spoke yesterday at the award ceremony and alumni induction organised by the MTN Foundation for Scholars at Mambilla Barracks in Abuja.
The director said education remains a powerful tool that shapes the mind, fosters innovation and drives societal change.
She advised the beneficiaries to take advantage of the scholarships to build meaningful connections, gain knowledge and skills for self-actualisation.
