The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), Aminu Maida, has expressed his enthusiasm for the significant progress made in spectrum management and investment facilitation by the Dubai telecom industry regulator.
During a meeting at the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) in Dubai, Maida discussed these achievements with Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, the Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority. Impressed by the transformative strides led by the Emirate’s telecom authority, Maida emphasized the necessity for a paradigm shift in operational strategies to drive sectoral transformation.
Maida highlighted a shared vision between the NCC and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority to revolutionize practices for sectoral transformation. In a post on his platform, Maida urged the importance of knowledge-sharing, stating, “If you have knowledge, share it. It is not enough, as far as I know. It is better when we all know.”
Reflecting on his meeting with Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Maida expressed excitement and a sense of challenge inspired by the authority’s advancements in spectrum management and investment facilitation in the Dubai telecommunications industry. Both parties share the belief that transforming the telecommunications sector requires a fundamental change in operational approaches, starting with achieving operational excellence within regulatory authorities.
