President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in Olukayode Ariwoola as the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Buhari nominated Ariwoola as CJN following the resignation of Ibrahim Tanko in June.
He, subsequently, forwarded his name to the senate for confirmation.
The senate confirmed the appointment in September.
The event took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, and was witnessed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and the governors of Oyo and Ondo states, Seyi Makinde and Rotimi Akeredolu, respectively.
