President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today, Thursday, 27 June join state governors at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting to discuss the new national minimum wage.
His Chief of Staff (CoS) Femi Gbajabiamila hinted this as he spoke while leading a presidential delegation to commiserate with Vice President Kashim Shettima over the demise of his mother-in-law in Kano.
Gbajabiamila describing the plan as unusual said the president would be attending the scheduled NEC meeting holding today.
At the visit to commiserate the passing away of VP Shettima’s mother-in-law, he said the president “is indeed saddened, and he wished he was here with you know our President is very ubiquitous, he can be in a million places at the same time, but unfortunately, this bill, as you well know, calls for him to be at the seat of power. Indeed, he will be joining you tomorrow and that’s how important his presence in Abuja is right now. He will be joining you tomorrow at the NEC meeting, which he ever hardly attends, this might even be his first meeting.”
